JSD and HSD boards for the packaging sector
Our JSD (P5) and HSD (P7) structural boards have been designed with real-world requirements in mind — including the demanding conditions of the packaging industry. From the very start, we focused on ensuring the boards can handle heavy loads, repeated handling, and exposure to moisture during storage and transport.
High strength, easy machinability, and eco-friendly production from recycled materials — these qualities make JSD and HSD boards the perfect choice for the packaging industry and ideal for manufacturing transport crates and packaging solutions.

Wide-ranging applications of JSD and HSD boards in the packaging industry
JSD and HSD boards are useful wherever strong and stable material is required.
Typical applications include:
- reusable transport crates
- Transport crates and boxes
- Pallet lids and extensions
- Reinforcements and dividers for securing goods
- Export packaging (compliant with ISPM requirements for treatment)
Boards that adapt to your needs
✅ JSD (P5): Excellent value for money – ideal for standard applications.
✅ HSD (P7): Higher resistance, higher density, higher load capacity – for more demanding packaging and handling.
Common advantages:
- Eco-friendly production
- High dimensional stability
- Moisture resistance and mechanical stress resistance
- Excellent workability (cutting, drilling, joining)

JSD and HSD boards are manufactured with a strong focus on precise technical processing and consistent performance. Thanks to their accurate dimensions and sanded surface, they are easy to work with.

FAQs
Can the boards be reused?
Especially with the HSD variant, which features higher density, resulting in greater bending strength and resistance to mechanical damage. The boards retain their shape even under repeated loading and handling, making them ideal for returnable packaging or in-house transport containers.
What is the main difference between JSD and HSD boards?
JSD (P5) is the economical option for standard applications where extreme load-bearing is not required. HSD (P7) has a higher density, better mechanical properties, and is designed for more demanding use – such as for heavier goods or repeated transport. Both variants share high dimensional stability and a high-quality surface.
Are the boards suitable for printing or labeling?
Yes, the boards can be printed, labeled, or stickered with decals or labels. They are ideal for packaging with logos or QR codes, for example.
What board formats are available?
The standard size of the square-edged board is 2840 × 1830 mm. Other available formats include 1800 × 900 mm and 1800 × 600 mm. Stock thicknesses: 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, and 22 mm. Custom production available up to 40 mm thickness.
